Privacy Policy

Otto collects no data. It has no account, no server, no analytics and no third-party SDKs. Nothing you enter leaves your iPhone.

What Otto stores, and where

Everything Otto knows lives in a container on your own device, shared between the app and its widgets. None of it is transmitted anywhere:

• Your license plate, inspection, insurance and service dates — typed by you, shown on your widgets.
• Your parking spot — the coordinates captured when you leave the car, so the app can show you the way back.
• Your settings and sounds — themes, greetings you record or generate, and the files you import.

Deleting the app deletes all of it. There is no copy anywhere else.

Location

Otto asks for location access for exactly one purpose: to save where you parked. The coordinates are written to the device and read back when you ask for directions. They are never uploaded, shared or sold.

Otto asks for Always access because the parking spot is saved by a Shortcuts automation while the app is in the background, when CarPlay disconnects. If you decline, Otto still works — you can save the spot by hand from the My Car tab.

Maps

When you tap "Directions", Otto hands your parking coordinates to Apple Maps to draw a walking route. From that point Apple's privacy policy applies to Apple Maps, not this one. Otto sends nothing to us, because there is no "us" to send it to — no server exists.

Children

Otto collects nothing from anyone, of any age.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the date above changes with it. Since Otto has no server, any change would be about what the app stores on your device, not about data leaving it.
